3. The American Hot Rod.

American Hot Rod takes its audience into their garage, giving them a firsthand look at how they customize different vehicles.

The mechanics on display include stars like Mike Curtis, Lee Hayes, and Boyd Coddington. When we were first introduced to “The American Hot Rod” cast, they were attempting to restore a classic ’56 Chevy, which they unearthed from a graveyard.

Despite being a reality show centered on car restoration, fans were additionally treated to drama. There were regularly burst ups on screen, so it came as no surprise that the series had a high turnover rate. The show’s high octane run saw it air 65 episodes.
